Taihu Snow’s Digital & Intelligent Future Factory:
A New Era of "Smart Manufacturing + Cross-Border" for Global Silk Industry
With a total investment of approximately RMB 300 million, the factory covers an area of 43.2 mu (about 28,800 square meters) with a total construction area of 60,000 square meters. Upon completion, it is expected to achieve an annual output of 4 million silk products and 200,000 silk garments, with an estimated annual sales revenue of RMB 3 billion. This marks a pivotal milestone in Taihu Snow’s globalization and intelligent strategy, and signals the official entry of Suzhou’s silk industry into a new era of deep integration between smart manufacturing and cross-border trade.
Factory Design: Blending Modern Technology with Silk Cultural Heritage
Located on the former site of the Taihu Cocoon and Silk Market in Wujiang Zhenze, the factory’s overall design centers on the core concept of "A Three-Dimensional Narrative of Silk Culture". The building's facade features a flowing colored glass curtain wall, which artfully blends the rhythm of Taihu Lake waves with the soft texture of silk. While inheriting the traditional Jiangnan architectural imagery of white walls and black tiles, it also embodies the brand's modern aesthetic pursuit of "purity and elegance", creating a landmark that honors silk heritage while embracing innovation.
Smart Manufacturing: Redefining Global Silk Production Standards
The factory will take "intelligent manufacturing + intelligent warehousing + cross-border services" as its core, building a dedicated equipment cluster centered on intelligent manufacturing facilities. Through automation, intelligence, and digitalization, it will fully empower production and quality control, creating a modern silk manufacturing system characterized by "lean core processes, automated workflows, and traceable quality systems".
In addition, the project will set up special workstations for intangible cultural heritage (ICH) craftsmanship, integrating intelligent auxiliary equipment to significantly improve the precision and efficiency of traditional ICH techniques such as silk floss stretching. A three-level quality system of "online inspection + blockchain traceability" will be established, elevating the product qualification rate to 99.5% and enabling minute-level traceability response for global customers.
Intelligent Warehousing & Cross-Border Fulfillment: Powering Global E-Commerce Growth
In terms of warehousing and logistics, the factory will rely on a distributed intelligent warehousing network, integrating advanced equipment such as AGVs, AMRs, and unmanned forklifts to achieve fully automated "warehousing-sorting-delivery" processes. The system will seamlessly connect with major e-commerce platforms and live-streaming orders, building a closed loop of "live-stream order placement - intelligent warehouse allocation - instant shipment", efficiently supporting the rapid fulfillment and flexible growth of Taihu Snow’s global business.
Furthermore, with the industrial internet platform as its core foundation, Taihu Snow will break down data barriers across all links, building a "data-driven, flexible collaboration" digital operation system. This system will fully cover multiple business chains including procurement, production, outsourcing, warehousing, and live-stream e-commerce, realizing full-link information interconnection, resource coordination, and intelligent decision-making.
Sustainable Development: A Green, Cultural & Smart Silk Ecosystem
Taihu Snow has always upheld the sustainable development concept of "production in harmony with nature", creating a garden-style smart humanistic project integrating culture, technology, and ecology. The factory will achieve a green coverage rate of over 35%, and plan to build an ICH exhibition area themed on sericulture culture and silk weaving skills. It will also deploy photovoltaic power generation and intelligent energy-saving systems, striving to create a garden-style smart environment that combines efficient production, humanistic care, and cultural heritage, driving the coordinated improvement of economic, ecological, and cultural benefits.
