  • How can I do if I receive the bad quality goods?

Before mass production, we will carefully confirm pre-production samples with you and perform several quality checks at different stages of the production process. Once you receive the goods, please check them promptly. If there are any quality problems, we will re-produce and cover the related damages caused by us.

    TAIHU SNOW SILK CO., LTD is established in 2002, specializing in silk products. All our silk products are inspected at every step of the production process such as pre-production inspection, on-line inspection, off-line inspection. Each procedure we have QA&QC to control the bulk quality.
  • What is your lead time?

    Sample lead time is within 7 days,  bulk production time is based on quantity, normally 10-15 days based on available colors.
  • How do you create such a diverse range of silk products?

    Our skilled craftsmen make it effortless for us to produce a wide variety of silk products. Even if we haven't made a particular item before, we can replicate it with precision using a sample as a reference. The process involves our experienced print technicians utilizing cutting-edge digital printing techniques to infuse eco-friendly, water-based inks deeply into the silk fabric fibers. Next, our craftsmen expertly cut the fabric into the desired shape and size. They then employ both machine sewing and meticulous hand stitching to seamlessly join the fabric pieces, ensuring the final silk product is flawless and devoid of visible sewing lines. Essentially, the creation of any silk product involves two straightforward steps: printing and sewing.
  • What does momme (mm) mean in relation to silk?

    Momme is a term derived from Japanese and serves as a weight measurement unit for authentic silk. Momme, often abbreviated as mm, signifies the weight in pounds of a fabric piece measuring 45 inches by 100 yards. That's an incredibly long length, equivalent to the size of a football field! To provide a more relatable measurement for sheets, one momme is approximately 4.340 grams per square meter. Eight momme fabric weighs about 1 ounce per square yard or 35 grams per square meter.
     
    A higher momme indicates a heavier and denser weave. During the silk production process, the silk factory adjusts the density and yarn count of the silk thread to control the fabric's weight, or momme. For instance, a 30 momme charmeuse pillowcase has the weft and warp of silk fibers woven closer together compared to a 19 momme charmeuse pillowcase. Higher momme silk fabrics also use thicker yarn. In this regard, momme is similar to thread count, which is commonly used to measure the weave of cotton sheets.
